IT-BPO & OUTSOURCING

IT Outsourcing & Dedicated Development Teams

Extend your engineering capacity with Sri Lankan talent — dedicated teams, staff augmentation, outsourced development, technical support and application maintenance.

When hiring is the bottleneck, not the plan

Most engineering roadmaps are limited by capacity rather than ideas. Hiring takes months, specialist skills are needed for a phase rather than permanently, and the maintenance work that keeps existing systems alive quietly consumes the people you hired to build new things.

  • A roadmap that keeps slipping because the team is at capacity and recruitment is slow.
  • A skill you need for one phase of a project but cannot justify hiring permanently.
  • Maintenance and support work absorbing the engineers you hired to build new products.
  • A system inherited from a previous developer or agency that nobody currently owns.

Who this is for

  • Product companies whose roadmap is limited by engineering capacity.
  • Agencies that need overflow delivery capacity without permanent headcount.
  • Businesses that want their existing applications maintained by someone accountable.
  • Organisations exploring offshore delivery who want a manageable first step.

What we provide

IT Outsourcing

Handing a defined area of technology work to a team that owns the outcome. We agree what is in scope, how success is measured and how we report on it, so outsourcing means less to manage rather than one more thing to manage.

  • Clearly defined scope and reporting rhythm
  • A named lead accountable for delivery
  • Knowledge documented as we go, not held in one person's head

Software Development Outsourcing

A whole project or product workstream delivered end to end. You set the objective and the constraints; we handle design, build, testing and release, and show you working software regularly rather than status reports.

  • Delivery in two-week increments with a review at each boundary
  • Your standards and definition of done, not a generic one
  • Source code in your repositories from the first commit

Dedicated Development Teams

A stable team working only on your product, in your process. They join your stand-ups, work from your backlog and stay with the codebase long enough to know it properly — which is the difference between a team and a series of contractors.

  • Consistent people rather than rotating resources
  • You own and prioritise the sprint backlog
  • Scale the team up or down at monthly boundaries

Staff Augmentation

Individual engineers, designers or QA specialists embedded into your existing team for as long as you need the capacity or the skill. They report into your leads and work inside your process.

  • Specific skills for a specific phase
  • Integrated into your team, tools and ceremonies
  • Straightforward to extend or conclude

Technical Support

A support function for the software your business or your customers depend on — triaging issues, resolving what can be resolved and escalating what cannot, with a record you can review.

  • Defined intake channel and triage process
  • Issues tracked to resolution rather than closed quietly
  • Recurring problems escalated as engineering work, not endlessly re-triaged

Application Maintenance

Keeping systems healthy after launch: dependency and security updates, bug fixes, small enhancements and the unglamorous work that stops a working system from decaying into a risky one.

  • Security patching and dependency currency
  • Bug fixes and small enhancements within an agreed allowance
  • Regular reporting on what changed and what needs attention

Engagement models

All three can be combined. Teams commonly start with augmentation, then move to a dedicated team once the working relationship is proven.

Dedicated team

A team that works only on your product, month to month.

  • Monthly rate per team member
  • You direct the work and own the backlog
  • Resize at monthly boundaries
  • Same people over time, not rotating staff

Staff augmentation

Individual specialists embedded into your existing team.

  • Per-person monthly rate
  • Reports into your leads
  • Works in your tools and process
  • Extend or conclude with notice

Managed workstream

We own an outcome rather than supplying people.

  • Priced against a defined scope
  • A named lead accountable for delivery
  • Agreed reporting cadence
  • Suited to maintenance and support

Keeping an outsourced team accountable

The common failure of outsourcing is losing visibility. These are the practices we hold to so that does not happen.

  • Work happens in your repositories and your issue tracker, visible to you at all times
  • A named delivery lead you can talk to, not an account manager relaying messages
  • Demonstrations of working software at agreed intervals, not written status updates
  • Documentation written as work is done, so knowledge does not leave when a person does
  • Access granted on the principle of least privilege and revoked when an engagement ends

IT-BPO & Outsourcing — frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what clients ask before an engagement starts.

Staff augmentation gives you individuals who join your existing team and report to your leads — useful when you need a specific skill or extra hands in a structure that already works. A dedicated team is a standing group with its own delivery lead that works only on your product. The team model suits a sustained workstream; augmentation suits filling a gap. Many clients start with augmentation and move to a dedicated team once the relationship is proven.

Sri Lanka overlaps comfortably with Europe, the Middle East, India, Singapore and Australia during normal working hours. For clients in the Americas we agree a fixed overlap window for stand-ups and reviews, and structure the rest of the work asynchronously. We commit to the overlap in writing rather than leaving it to goodwill.

Documentation written as work is done rather than at the end, code review that means at least two people understand every change, and work tracked in your own repositories and issue tracker rather than ours. If someone rolls off, their replacement inherits a documented codebase instead of an oral history.

Yes, and it is a common request. We start with an assessment of the codebase, its dependencies and its infrastructure, and give you an honest read on its condition and what it will cost to maintain. Occasionally that assessment concludes that rebuilding part of it is cheaper than maintaining it, and we will tell you that even though it is the less convenient answer.

Engagements are monthly, and we ask for a short notice period so we can plan the team rather than lock you in. We would rather you stay because the work is good. Exact terms are agreed in the contract before anyone starts.
